Mission

New Door Ventures prepares disconnected youth for work and life. We provide skill-building, individual support and jobs that enable our youth to discover and achieve their potential. Our work is integral to their successful transition to healthy, sustainable adulthood. We aim to transform individuals who will in turn transform their communities.

Faith

New Door Ventures was founded in 1981 by the Nazarene Church to provide compassionate service to people in need. Although we are no longer a ministry of that church, our foundation on Christian faith still informs our work. We continue the tradition of compassionate service and cultivate leadership practices guided by biblical principles of peace, reconciliation, grace, stewardship and belief in the potential and worth of all those we serve.

We respect the different faith traditions and individual spiritual journeys of our program participants, staff members, donors and volunteers. We do not proselytize or have faith requirements for our program participants. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, gender, age, veteran status, or disability.

Values

• Youth
We believe youth are assets, with God-given potential and resilience. They have the capacity to achieve and to contribute.
• Work
We believe that work creates opportunities and provides dignity, self-esteem, and a path out of poverty.
• Community
Individual growth and change occur best within a supportive community. As each member grows, the community becomes stronger.
• Innovation and Effectiveness
We work with deep integrity, and we are committed to broadening and deepening our effectiveness. We are disciplined entrepreneurs, creating and capitalizing on opportunities.
• Faith in Action
We believe that Faith comes alive in our actions and adds depth to our commitment and our hope for those we serve.
