2019 Youth Film Festival

“Our message is to show that no matter our origins and/or our trials we can still pursue something more for ourselves. We make films that are relatable, entertaining, and to show what has been forgotten.”

Please join us for an inspiring evening of youth-made films, light refreshments, and discussion as the New Door Film Group premieres their work.

The featured piece is a post-apocalyptic film called “Little Flower.” Highlighting the fluidity of family and challenging how we define home, this talented group of New Door alumni and interns spent three days filming in the Presidio, Richmond and Lake Merced neighborhoods. “Little Flower” follows the story and perspective of two sisters as they reconcile with their new and daunting environment.

Two experimental short films will also be showcased.

A reception with light refreshments (non-alcoholic) begins at 6:00 pm at the Joe Good Performance Group Theater.

Films will begin at 6:30.

All are welcome! Invite your friends and bring the whole family!

Thanks to your support our Youth Film Group can continue to learn and produce relatable, entertaining films.
