New Door has received a $400,000 grant over two years from the NBA Foundation

The NBA Foundation was launched in August 2020 and is focused on creating greater economic opportunity and career advancement in the Black community. New Door received grant last year, and it is a result of our impact-driven programs, work of our dedicated staff, and strategic vision for impact, scale, and sustainability that we have been selected for a multi-year renewal grant.

The formal announcement can be found on NBAFoundation.com and NBA.comhttps://nbafoundation.nba.com/nba-foundation-sixth-grant-round-recipients/.

It was so meaningful for our Glow Up Award winners, DiegoJenny, and Devon, to be warmly celebrated by more than 160 in-person and virtual attendees. And, we’re excited to share that we raised $130,000, which means an entire cohort of young people will access New Door’s Employment Program, including meaningful, paid work, case management, and our career readiness curriculum. Additionally, each Glow Up Award winner went home with an $800 scholarship toward their professional endeavors, which wouldn’t have been possible without your support.
